Leaders in Global Media Diversity Online

In 2003 a number of media researchers came together to form the Triangle Media Group (TMG).  They received immense support from various global media figures, bodies, artistes and politicians. The following year in 2004 TMG officially launched their online global media awards by working with Australia's senior media figure and world legal scholar, Professor David Flint.  The committee now consists of media professionals and various Leicester university graduates.  TMG is led by a Leicester University graduate, Actor, Teacher and Lawyer Haresh Sood.

Haresh SoodSoon after the launch of TMG,  Haresh Sood was appointed as the Global Ambassador. With him he brought a wealth of knowledge, from his time at the BBC and his education from the universities of Leicester, Modena, Sevilla and Strasbourg.  Haresh now manages the entire awards campaign along side a committee of global media specialists who strive to achieve mainstream media recognition of foriegn artistes.

TMG has worked within specialist media markets in initiating awareness campaigns and projects to raise the profile of foreign artistes. TMG has also highlighted and promoted niche topics and subjects within the mainstream global media and worked towards achieving their better exposure and creating media diversity. With an educational aim, TMG comes together from three corners of the world, Europe, USA and Oceania; and is today known as the Triangle Media Group.

TMG is a unique platform for global South Asian achievement, which also acknowledges the recognition of other award ceremonies.  Furthermore, TMG also celebrate, honour and recognise these individuals in its global awards magazine.

TMG biennally awards and honours the best  four outstanding achievers in mainstream media with David Flint’s honorary award; and also the top 50 Achievers in various catagories.

In addition a global magazine is published and sold online highlighting these achievers. This is a much awaited and a well received magazine that is used by many mainstream bodies in which the creme de la creme of South Asian artistes, on a global level, are showcased to mainstream media. The 2004/05 and the 2006/07 awards magazines were widely read and the 2008/09 magazine is even better! This magazine is today seen as a powerful marketing tool which bridges the gap between South Asian artistes and the mainstream media, reaching every corner where South Asians have never been before.

In 2004/05 'The Best South Asian International Outstanding Achievers of High Profile and Distinction' honoured by Professor David Flint were Actors Aishwarya Rai from India and Haresh Sood from UK / Spain before he became the Global Ambassador.

In 2006/07 the David Flint honorary awards were given to film makers Farah Khan and Jag Mohan Mundra from India and USA respectively, actress Shabana Azmi from India and pollitician Manjula Paul Sood from the UK.

Due to the broad and extensive range of nominations this year, the TMG committee has launched two new categories of awards:

* Academia

* Cordon Bleu

TMG is proud to bring to you the 2008/09 awards for Outstanding Achievement in Global Mainstream Media.
